Described herein is the development of a continuous flow, solid-phase triphenylphosphine (PS-PPh3) assisted protocol to facilitate in situ coupling reciprocal pairs halogen and carbonyl functionalised molecular by Wittig olefination within 15 mins. The entails injecting single solution (1 : 1 CHCl3 EtOH) containing halogenated carbonyl-based substrates into continuously flowing stream EtOH 1), passed through fixed bed K2CO3 PS-PPh3. With advancement previous PS-PPh3 procedures, method employs traditional polystyrene-based immobilisation matrix, substrate scope extended substituted ketones, secondary alkyl chlorides, an unprotected maleimide scaffold.
